Becoming an ADPA volunteer could change your life too...
Why you might consider becoming an ADPA volunteer
Perhaps you're already in employment but would like to help your local community whist learning new skills and meeting a new and diverse range of people?
You may be unemployed, if so you could gain valuable work experience and learn new skills whist enhancing your job prospects. Potential employers are usually very encouraged to see that you are carrying out unpaid voluntary work for a few hours a week whist seeking paid employment. Furthermore, ADPA will be in a position to provide you with a work reference.
If you are studying, volunteering will provide you with real life work experience that may, subject to roles available, tie-in perfectly with your area of study and prove a valuable addition to your CV.
Retired / Semi-Retired?
Enjoying your retirement can prove a welcome, well-earned chance to take it easy. On the other hand, volunteering can be a great way to maintain a sense of valued fulfilment whist helping others.
